Hello All,
For all you last-minute scramblers, I've decided to write out a top 10 list of ideas you might consider when thinking of what to do for the one you love....
#10. Breakfast in Bed: Start the day off right: make your love a nice breakfast in bed. If your culinary skills are limited, a bowl of cereal will do, just cut up some fresh fruit or some berries and sprinkle on top.
#9. Massage: Forget about booking the spa- they've been booked 2 months ago for this special day. Go to your local drugstore and get some massage oil and give your lovey a nice soothing massage.
#8. Write a poem: I know it sounds impossible but it's really not that hard. There are many tools to help you too. It doesn't even have to rhyme but if you want it to, why not use this great tool: http://www.rhymezone.com - it is a rhyming dictionary online! Come on, even you could write a poem with this tool!
#7. Movie: rent a movie and snuggle up with some munchies.
#6. Go to the ROM: Remember Valentine's is not just a night event, you could make it a full day filled with romance and what more romantic place than the Royal Ontario Museum.
#5. Light some candles: if you're staying in, light some candles to set the mood. Lavender-scented candles are soothing and relaxing.
#4. Make some dinner: again, if your culinary skills are not great, pick up some stuff at M&M Meatshops. They have great veggie options as well.
#3. Hold hands: when it comes down to it - you really don't need anything but eachother. Tell that person you care by cuddling and holding hands:)
#2. Dance: I know it sounds funny, but turn on your cd player and play some great songs you and your honey can dance to. An older cd is sure to bring back some great memories.
#1. If you hadn't procrastinated until the last second you could have sent the best gift of all: A SOUPOGRAM! :) And this would have taken care of many of the numbers on this list (especially dinner!). Just remember that Valentine's day is everyday. It's never too late to send that special someone (wife, husband, friend, mom/dad) a Soupogram to show you care.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone:)
